Our rich history of building quality furniture began in 1972 in the rural town of Taylorsville, N.C. and we will celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2012. In this region of the United States furniture is more than a business, it is a family tradition. The furniture manufactured in our North Carolina facilities is made the old fashioned way – by hand, with pride. Craftmaster was the vision of two native North Carolinians, Jack Stokes and Steve Lackey, who had a goal of building the finest quality upholstered furniture in their price range that is fashionable, yet affordable. The company has grown from 20 people to over 500 employees today. Many in the Craftmaster family have been with the company for over 25 years, some from the very beginning.
